New shooters are encouraged and welcome at our matches. If you are a new shooter please arrive early for the match so we can spend some extra time discussing the rules and safety procedures. An e-mail letting me know you are coming would also be appreciated.

Our sport is made possible by the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. If You can donate your time please let me know. We are always looking for help and can use your talent in a variety of ways.

What is Defensive Pistol Shooting

Defensive pistol shooting as a sport is quite simply the use of equipment including full charge service ammunitiion to solve simulated "real world" self-defense scenarios. Shooters competing in Defensive Pistol events are required to use practical handguns and holsters that are truly suitable for self-defense use. No "competition only" equipment is permitted in Defensive Pistol matches since the main goal is to test the skill and ability of an individual, not his or her equipment or gamesmanship.
